Ms. Herman is a Principal in Ares Real Estate, where she focuses on U.S. real estate debt. Prior to joining Ares in 2020, Ms. Herman was a Director at Mount Street, where she was responsible for building out the U.S. platform and was focused on the asset management, surveillance and servicing of the firm's book of commercial real estate debt. Previously, Ms. Herman was a Vice President at CCRE, where she focused on commercial mortgage-backed securities and floating rate loan originations, managing all stages of the origination cycle including the initial loan underwriting and analysis, term sheet negotiation and loan structuring, credit committee presentation, loan closing and correspondence with b-buyers and rating agencies. In addition, Ms. Herman was an Associate at Rialto Capital, where she was involved in loan workouts for pools of whole, non-performing loans, as well as underwriting for B-Piece investments. Ms. Herman began her career at Ernst & Young, where she provided underwriting, valuation, due diligence and other transaction support for commercial real estate debt and equity transactions. Ms. Herman holds a B.B.A. from Emory University in Finance.
